Welcome to Nilambazar Collge, I am very glad to inform you that, Nilamabazar College was established in 1994 by a few dedicated philanthropists of the locality like Dr. Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Ex Principal, Karimganj College, Sri Durga Das Sharma, Advocate Karimganj, Md Khalilur Rahman, Director-Design, Irrigation Deptt., Karimganj, Md. Azizur Rahman Talukdar, renowned Social Worker, Sri Ramendu Chakraborty, Ex. Principal, S.V.Vidyaniketan, Nilambazar, Sri Biswakanti Das, Ex. Principal, S.V.Vidyaniketan, Nilambazar , Sri Nilanjan Das, Subject Teacher(Retd.) Gandhai H.S. School, Partha Sarathi Das Retd. S.O. Personal Branch, Assam University, Md. Abdul Lateef, Fouder Parincipal , Nilambazar College, Miss Sukla Endow Retd. Subject Teacher, S.V.Vidyaniketan, Nilambazar and so many others. Donations from generous donors in large and small denominations poured in; so that this college could be gradually given a full-fledged form to cater to the needs of higher education irrespective of caste, creed, Sex, Religion and language.
As a result of the tireless efforts of the benevolent people, Nilambazar College steps into 28 yrs in July, 2022. The college is provincialised having permanent affiliation under Assam University also got the recognition under Section 2(f) & 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956 Vide memo no. F.No. 8-317/2012 (CPP-I/C) dated. 11th January, 2013.
The students-teachers ratio of the college is to maintained according to the norms of the University Grants Commision (UGC) and all the students get individual attention for their all round development. The teaching learning methods are students centric and the faculties give heavy weightage to the students. And I assure there will be no compromise in this respects.
The college has its IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell), NSS (National Social Service) Unit, NCC (National Cadet Crops) Unit and KKHSOU ( Krinshna Kanta Handique State Open University) study centre for distance learning.
It is a great pleasure to share with you that the college has a Girls’ hostel for the girls of the remote area.The college also frequently organizes various job orientation programme, seminar, symposium, Quiz, Debate so that we make the students to face all the challenges boldly of the upcoming era.
The college also sincerely endeavors to provide a healthy environment for the all round development of the students in a possible manner and also strives to equip the students with latest skills and confidence to face all the challenges of the era of Science and Knowledge.
So all the passed out students of H.S. final yr. examinations may come and get yourselves to the college TDC (CBCS) 1st Semester Courses in this year with an earliestconvenience. With these few words I may extend my best wishes to the prospective guardians / parents and students of our institute.
